This is the portfolio of Ulli Waltinger, born in Regensburg (Bavaria) and now settled in Bielefeld. I am currently a Scientific Research Assistant (Ph.D. candidate) at the Faculty of Technology at University of Bielefeld (www.ulliwaltinger.de). I was co-founder and coCEO (4 years) of the web-agency: www.majormedia.de and freelancing for quite a while now. I have done a lot of interesting projects for different agencies in this time - find an excerpt at the portfolio section. I am interested in graphical, conceptual, information architecture as well as coding / technical projects.

Currently I am working, besides quite a few other projects, on an Online-Desktop-System: http://scientific-workplace.org/ It is still no Beta-Version (a few bugs, still in there), but if you register (its free) I will grand you a peak. Generally I am very interested in Topic Detection, Clustering of Documents and Knowledge Management.

I am holding a bachelor (hon) of multimedia arts assoc. by the university of middlesex and a master in interdisciplinary media studies at university bielefeld. Before my bachelor i studied business at the university of applied science in Regensburg. As a part-job I was a consultant for mobile phones (e-plus, genion) and a technical advisor in conferences (stockholm, barcelona) for m-events. Currently i am focusing on my Phd-Thesis about content-sensitive peer-2-peer-agents.
